AppleCorporation founder, dumped in the late 80's, founded NeXT which produced a great cubical computer called the NeXTBox and an OS called NeXTStep. The window manager AfterStep is heavily based on NeXT. NeXT went bust, Apple almost went the same way, so they hired Jobs again who turned the company around completely with the releases of things like the iMac and MacOSX.

Steve grew up in the apricot orchards which later became known as Silicon Valley, and still lives there with his wife and three of his four children.
