-!! THIS PAGE WILL BE DELETED IN A DAY OR TWO
-
-In the meantime, a message to "!LinuxCity" (apparently formerly UserIde):
-
-It would be appreciated if you actually put in the effort to find out what's already in the wiki instead of idiotically and blindly linking to damn Wikipedia. That's what FindPage is for, you know.
-
-;: I think your site was a wrong place for the information. I tried to see a place to put usefull information for a newbie using LiveCD. Don´t worry I am going to create the mine...
-
-;;: This is not a clique. Contributions are appreciated. But ''please please'' try to find out which pages already exist, and integrate your contributions in the right places. Information is useless if it can't be found, and if you put unrelated information in pages on a different topic, noone is going to find it except by accident.
-
-It would also be appreciated if you didn't just dump content with no relation to anything already here into the wiki,
-
-;: Sorry, I didn´t know this was your personal wiki.
-
-;;: The above is what I meant. A wiki is only useful if information can be easily linked to and if it links to other information. Creating monolithic pages with duplicate information makes this hard, if not impossible.
-
-and if you tried to link to the proper stuff instead of duplicating content on pages it does not belong on.
-
-;: By the way, the search feature, doesn´t work properly. It´s very bad.
-
-;;: I've never had any problems with it. Can you explain what you mean by "very bad"? I'm talking about the title search, btw, not the fulltext search. F.ex if you had clicked the FindPage button then entered "partition" in the title search field, you would have found that we do have a
[Partition
] page.
-
-Instead of listing the "cheatcodes"
here (who came up with that idiotic name anyway?), a link to bootparam(7) would have sufficed.
-
-;: I don´t see cheatcodes that can be used with the major LiveCD ( briefly Knoppix, i.e.). I have problems booting Knoppix because of my monitor screen. Thanks to helpfull people, I could discover knoppix xmodule=fbdev and see my first Linux ...). Would I have recieved this help from you ??. I am sure I wouldn´t be ( and lot of my friends ) linux users if it would depends on you and your cryptic and usefull-less codes.
-
-;;: Yes you would. If any bootparameters are specific to a certain Live CD then feel free to list them. (Although I doubt it has to be done here - aren't they usually documented on the site of that Live CD's project?) But most of the parameters you had listed on this page where stuff that applies for ''every single kernel'', not just the Slax Live CD bootprompt. These common parameters should be documented in a common page; if you feel bootparam(7) is cryptic, feel free to make a !KernelBootParameters page or something to explain them. Then you can link to that page from the Slax page, the Mepis page, the Knoppix page, etc etc.. or you can just put all the LiveCDs in a single page. Or whatever. But don't duplicate information needlessly.
-
-Or are we going to copypaste these "cheatcodes" to the KnoppixLinux page as well?
-
-;: Knoppix has Cheatcode wiki.
-
-And why not make one for Mepis and Mandrake Move etc and copy the same stuff in there as well? Pointless? Duh.
-
-;: Yes, I think we need LinuxLiveCD wiki ( for sure, not in your website).
-
-;;: You're welcome to keep this information in here. But please organize it properly, so that your pages become part of the wiki. This wiki has information on lots more than LiveCDs. Don't build a Wiki:WalledGarden
-
-If you think I'm being too harsh, then my excuse is that I've gotten very frustrated trying to clean up after the messes you keep on and on making here.
-
-;: I accepted your contributions. But don´t worry, you won´t see any one more...
-
-;;: I have nothing against you, in case that was the impression you got. I don't even know you. All I can see is what you produce on this wiki, and was badly done. So I'm asking you to stop for a moment, look around to learn how to do things, and then do it that way.
-
-CraigBox seems to have given up. Myself, I'm tempted to just delete every page you create because it's just too damn much effort to make them sensible parts of this wiki.
-
-;: And viceversa. I feel NOW i cannot obtain good results from your wiki.
-
-Ever since you started coming here, the RecentEdits page has been no fun at all anymore to watch.
-
-;: I couldn´t use in a fun way the preview button ( it doesn´t offer good updates).
-
-;;: What do you mean by this? Could you be more specific?
-
-Please learn the way things are done __here__ (and I mean __HERE__ at the WlugWiki and not Wikipedia, FFS)
-
-;: If we could have a free dialog about this software, I would same somethings...
-
-;;: Why can't we? Go ahead. It's not perfect, that's sure. I've written several things in WantedWikiFeatures. Although it being different from Wikipedia only means it's different. There are a million different wiki engines out there - and they all work differently.
-
-or stop causing others more work than your contribution is worth. (Yes, and sorry, but that's what I think.)
-
-;: I think your contris + mines are a good thing to the user to read. Here have appered good pages. And I was the problem initializing ( for sure in a bad way) them...
-
-PS.: Please sign in with your realname and make a homepage, for crying out loud. I think coming here as !LinuxCity makes you look even more stupid than a lot of your mess ever could.
