A site that concentrates an [ISP]'s or TelCo's communications equipment for a certain area; as opposed to a location that they just redirect to somewhere else where they have a [PoP]. Eg, there may be one [PoP] in [Hamilton] servicing the entire [Waikato] region. The more [PoP]s an [ISP] operates, the better the likelihood for subscribers to be able to reach one of them with a local telephone call.
