The purpose of GNUWin-II is to help Windows users discover the free software and Open Source world. After using free software on MicrosoftWindows, it is easier to migrate to a free operating system like GNU/Linux, where the same programs are used.

-zcat(1) and RoderickAldridge have agreed to do a presentation on Free software at the [Hamilton Computer Club|http://www.hamiltoncomputerclub.co.nz/] in early 2004. At this point I intend to cover [Mozilla], OpenOffice, TheGimp, and probably a few games. I'll also make available [GnuWinII|http://zcat.wired.net.nz/gnuwin2.2.iso] and [knoppix|http://zcat.wired.net.nz/KNOPPIX_V3.2-2003-09-05-EN.iso] CDs
for anyone who wants one.
