GNUWin II was a free software compilation for MicrosoftWindows, but hasn't been updated for many years now.
The purpose of GNUWin-II was to help Windows users discover the free software and Open Source world. After using free software on MicrosoftWindows, it is easier to migrate to a free operating system like GNU/Linux, where the same programs are used.
