GNUWin II is a free software compilation for MicrosoftWindows

The purpose of GNUWin-II is to help Windows users discover the free software and Open Source world. After using free software on MicrosoftWindows, it is easier to migrate to a free operating system like GNU/Linux, where the same programs are used.

GNUWin II includes numerous programs, completely free, which cover a wide spectrum of uses. The complete application list, sorted by type, is available here.

zcat(1) and RoderickAldridge? have agreed to do a presentation on Free software at the Hamilton Computer Club in early 2004. At this point I intend to cover Mozilla, OpenOffice, TheGimp?, and probably a few games. I'll also make available GnuWinII and knoppix CDs for anyone who wants one.
