cdrkit is a Fork created by Debian from Jörg Schilling's cdrtools package. The main reason for the fork was Schilling's use of the GPL-incompatible CDDL for licensing his build system. Another factor was ongoing difficulties in working with him over submitting patches, bug reports etc. crdkit uses the wodim? CD/DVD burning engine.
