This page lists some of the things that the WaikatoLinuxUsersGroup are doing, and that anyone can help participate in.
The government is going to consider legislation covering spam, and has called for submissions from the public. WLUG are interested in submitting comments on this.
See the LegislatingAgainstSpam wiki page. Submissions must be sent to the government (Ministry of Economic Development) by 30th June 2004.
The website you are reading right now is the WlugWiki. Anyone can edit and create pages, adding to the knowledge base. Feel free to fix any mistakes or add your own insights/knowledge to any page. Because anyone can make changes, it is easy to revert pages if someone makes a mistake or puts deliberately wrong information!
WLUG ran a successful InstallFest for Linux users in May 2004. Based on demand, there may be another one before the end of the year, and will probably be held at least annually.
Every month (on the 4th Monday), WLUG organises a presentation open to anyone. See the sidebar (to the right) for details on the upcoming meeting.
See OldMeetingTopics for links to all previous meetings.
