It's supposed to make using WirelessNetwork~s as secure as using wired connections. In practise it takes your network from 'stupidly easy' to enter, to 'easy' to enter. The [WEP] [Protocol] is reasonably broken. Don't rely on it (but then again, it's better than nothing -- but only just). |
