Oracle claim that 'Oracle Corporation provides the software that powers the Internet?'. I find that statement somewhat intriguing... I think of IOS when I read that, and Cisco writes IOS, not Oracle.
Their most notable software product is their RDBMS, aptly named Oracle DataBase. 
DavidHallett has considerable experience getting this DataBase working with Linux, notably the RedHat distribution - ask him about the pitfalls if you are game enough to try installing it!
