Though he does not go to the extreme that ChuckMoore does, he favours simplicity in programming language design -- perhaps just a little too much for [some programmers' comfort|http://www.moorecad.com/standardpascal/notpascal.html].
[Pascal] was conceived primarily as a teaching language and is probably the best known, as are its limitations. [Modula2] was his attempt to overcome them and create a real SystemsProgrammingLanguage. It is said that ''it would be everyone's favorite programming language if it only had one more feature, but no one agrees on what that feature should be''.
