[Linspire|http://www.linspire.com] is the new name of LindowsOS, a Linux distribution started by Michael Robertson, the founder of [MP3].com.

It was originally built to be a distribution of Linux especially designed for running Windows applications (using [Wine]).  It has grown into a commercially oriented Linux distribution, which is sometimes criticized by the [OSS] community for "their complete disreguard for licensing conditions and the very spirit of [Free]/OpenSource software!"

It automatically logs in as root, without a login screen, but that is what Windows users are used to.
