Acronym for Layer 2 Network Server

A piece of kit used that is used to implement an L2TP network. An LNS is usually hosted by your ISP. It takes a L2TP tunneled connection created by a LAC (which typically live at your Telco) and splits it open and does whatever your ISP does with your traffic (ie, usually route it).
