Out of buffers. The kernel is out of memory. If this happens on a FreeBSD machine increase the number of mbuf's. Alternatively, wait a bit and try again later. Not to be confused with EAGAIN which means that the buffer for one resource is used (eg: the write buffer on a TCP connection), but that all the buffers are in use.
