!!DESCRIPTION |

21 |
This manual page is not meant to be exhaustive. The complete |
22 |
documentation for this version of TEX can be found in the |
23 |
info file or manual ''Web2C: A TeX |
24 |
implementation''. |

25 |

27 |
The __weave__ program is used to create a TEX file for |
28 |
viewing a W EB program. It takes appropriate |
29 |
care of typographic details like page layout and the use of |
30 |
indentation, italics, boldface, etc., and it supplies |
31 |
extensive cross-index information that it gathers |
32 |
automatically. The command line arguments are the same as |
33 |
for __tangle__ except for the option: __-x__ says to |
34 |
omit the index, module name list, and table of contents |
35 |
pages. (A ''CONTENTS.tex'' file will still be written |
36 |
when the TEX file is processed, however, unless some macros |
37 |
in ''webmac.tex'' are redefined.) |
38 |
39 |
40 |
The output TEX file name is formed by adding ''.tex'' to |
41 |
the root of the W EB file name. |
42 |
43 |
44 |
There are several macros that probably should be redefined |
45 |
by the programmer at the beginning of the W |
46 |
EB file. It is a good idea to set title to |
47 |
the name of the program. And, to cause output of only |
48 |
changed modules, one can say letmaybe=iffalse (usually as |
49 |
the first change in the change file). |
