wc - print the number of bytes, words, and lines in files
!!SYNOPSIS


__wc__ [[''OPTION'']... [[''FILE'']...
!!DESCRIPTION


Print line, word, and byte counts for each FILE, and a total
line if more than one FILE is specified. With no FILE, or
when FILE is -, read standard input.


__-c__, __--bytes__, __--chars__


print the byte counts


__-l__, __--lines__


print the newline counts


__-L__, __--max-line-length__


print the length of the longest line


__-w__, __--words__


print the word counts


__--help__


display this help and exit


__--version__


output version information and exit
