This manual page documents briefly the __tools86__
command. This manual page was written for the __Debian
GNU/Linux__ distribution (but may be used by others),
because the original program does not have a manual
page.


__tools86__ can operate in two different ways. When
called with an object file, __tools86__ converts it into
a __GNU a.out__ object file, suitable for linking with
__GNU ld__. You can only have one segment in the object
file. __tools86 may also be called with the -E__ option,
in which case it acts as a preprocessor for as86. Please
refer to the source code for the exact steps involved in the
preprocessing.
