rmdir - remove empty directories

__rmdir__ [[''OPTION'']...
''DIRECTORY''...
!!DESCRIPTION


Remove the DIRECTORY(ies), if they are empty.


__--ignore-fail-on-non-empty__


ignore each failure that is solely because a directory is
non-empty


__-p__, __--parents__


remove DIRECTORY, then try to remove each directory
component of that path name. E.g., `rmdir __-p__ a/b/c'
is similar to `rmdir a/b/c a/b a'.


__-v__, __--verbose__


output a diagnostic for every directory
processed


__--help__


display this help and exit


__--version__


output version information and exit
