PAPERSIZE !!!PAPERSIZE NAME SYNOPSYS DESCRIPTION PAPER NAMES CAVEATS DOCUMENTATION SEE ALSO ---- !!NAME __papersize__ - specify preferred paper size !!SYNOPSYS __papersize__ !!DESCRIPTION The __papersize__ file is used to specify the preferred paper size to use by available commands and programs generating documents. The format of this file is extremely simple: whitespace and anything starting with `#' is ignored, and the name of the paper is the first string found; the case in the name of the paper does not import (see __CAVEATS__ section however). !!PAPER NAMES The following names are commonly understood by programs: __a3__, __a4__, __a5__, __b5__, __letter__, __legal__, __executive__, __note__ and __11x17__. Additional paper names that one may encounter are: __a0__, __a1__, __a2__, __a6__, __a7__, __a8__, __a9__, __a10__, __b0__, __b1__, __b2__, __b3__, __b4__, __tabloid__, __statement__, __note__, __halfletter__, __halfexecutive__, __folio__, __quarto__, __ledger__, __archA__, __archB__, __archC__, __archD__, __archE__, __flsa__, __flse__, __csheet__, __dsheet__, __esheet__ and __10x14__. If the __papersize__ file does not exist, programs using the paper library default to using paper specified by the __PAPERCONF__ environment variable or __letter__ paper if this variable is not set. !!CAVEATS This manual page documents the format of the __papersize__ file that is read by the __libpaper__ library. Some programs that read this file do not yet use the library and may have trouble ignoring whitespace and comments in the file; they may also require that the paper names use a specific capitalization. !!DOCUMENTATION Yves Arrouye !!SEE ALSO paperconf(1)__ paperconfig__(8) ----
