Generate binary message catalog from textual translation
description.


Mandatory arguments to long options are mandatory for short
options too.


__-a__, __--alignment__=''NUMBER''


align strings to NUMBER bytes (default: 1)


__-c__, __--check__


perform language dependent checks on strings


__-D__, __--directory__=''DIRECTORY''


add DIRECTORY to list for input files search


__-f__, __--use-fuzzy__


use fuzzy entries in output


__-h__, __--help__


display a help message and exit


__--no-hash__


binary file will not include the hash table


__-o__, __--output-file__=''FILE''


specify output file name as FILE


__--statistics__


print statistics about translations


__--strict__


enable strict Uniforum mode


__-v__, __--verbose__


list input file anomalies


__-V__, __--version__


output version information and exit


Giving the __-v__ option more than once increases the
verbosity level.


If input file is __-__, standard input is read. If output
file is __-__, output is written to standard
output.


This package offers to programmers, translators and even
users, a well integrated set of tools and documentation that
provides a framework within which other free packages may
produce multi-lingual messages.
