This package contains the Linux AWE32 driver, and associated utilities, by Takashi Iwai <iwai@dragon.mm.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp>, which allows the EMU8000 chip on the Sound Blaster 32, AWE32, and variants to be used under Linux for synthesizing purposes. The package was originally built by the current maintainer, Tom Lees <tom@lpsg.demon.co.uk>. The latest version is always available at the following URL:- http://bahamut.mm.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~iwai/awedrv/ The awe source package contains several tar files from the upstream maintainer - "awedrv", "awesfx", "awemidi", and "midiplg". In addition, I mirror the Linux-specific parts fairly regularly at:- http://www.lpsg.demon.co.uk/awe32.html Copyright (C) 1996 Takashi Iwai This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
