rosegarden for DEBIAN
----------------------

Executing Rosegarden:
---------------------
Please note that the executable /usr/bin/rosegarden is actually a
shell wrapper which sets TCLLIBPATH and then calls
/usr/lib/rosegarden/bin/rosegarden, where the actual topbox binary
is located.

The provided X app-defaults file in /etc/X11/app-defaults/Rosegarden [1]
points the basic music directory (where you keep your music files)
to $HOME. If you want to change this, copy the file to your home
directory and modify this line:

Rosegarden*musicDirectory:$HOME

Other Notes:
---------------------

The upstream maintainers of Rosegarden are working on Rosegarden The
Next Generation, to be 3.0.

Initially, the authors intention was to make the future Rosegarden a
GTK/CORBA-based application. An initial version of the source for such
application was available at http://cvs.gnome.org.

Lately the authors have decided to abandon that version, and have
turned to a KDE/Qt based approach. You can find the development sources
for that version at http://rosegarden.sourceforge.net. This version
doesn't do much yet, but Guillaume Laurent is currently working on it.
