- The problem with the ombo box in qtrecompress is only 5 % better now:
When I click on the button, the v-sign inside the button gets a frame around it,
so you see, that the click was received. (In 0.50 there was absolutely no
visible reaction). So qtrecompress is still not usable after all.

That depends on used codec, but my 550 celeron wasn't able to capture
with divx compression in resolutions higher than this. Adding higher
resolutions also introduces some technical problems.

Maybe you could add a selector for the frame rate the subtiltles were
encoded for the {xxx}{xxx} subtitles.
An external converter is easy to make but it will will be simpler and easy
