14 This manual page lists the standard __groff__ input
15 characters. Only the characters that are available for the
16 device that is being used to print or view this manual page
17 will be displayed (the device currently used is `html'). The
18 ''Input code'' column applies to characters which can be
19 input with a single character, and gives the ISO Latin-1
2 perry 20 code of that input character. The ''!PostScript name''
21 column gives the usual !PostScript name of the output

25 The ISO Latin-1 no-break space (code 0240 octal) is
26 equivalent to __\__(space). All other ISO Latin-1
27 characters print as themselves with the following
28 exceptions: ____ prints as `, __'__ prints as '; the
29 corresponding ISO Latin-1 characters can be obtained with
30 __`__ and __'__. The ISO Latin-1 `Hyphen, Minus Sign'
31 (code 45) prints as a hyphen; a minus sign can be obtained
32 with __-__. The ISO Latin-1 `Tilde' (code 126) prints as
33 ~; the larger glyph can be obtained with __~__. The ISO
34 Latin-1 `Circumflex Accent' (code 94) prints as ^; a larger
