26 __gnumeric__ is a powerful spreadsheet program created by
27 the GNOME project. __gnumeric__ intends to compete with
28 commercial spreadsheets by becoming fully compatible with
29 Microsoft Excel and through the support of most popular
30 spreadsheet file formats such as Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, Applix,
31 Sylk, XBase and Oleo formats.

35 statistical, financial and database access functions.
36 Plotting data is supported through an interface to the
37 __Guppi__ plotting program. A plugin system extends
38 __gnumeric__ to enable the use the Python, Guile, or Perl
