GNP !!!GNP NAME SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION OPTIONS OTHER INFORMATION AUTHOR ---- !!NAME gnp - gnotepad+, a GTK-based HTML/text editor !!SYNOPSIS __gnp__ [[__options__] [[__files ...__] !!DESCRIPTION __Gnotepad+__ is an easy-to-use, yet fairly feature-rich, simple HTML and text editor for Unix based systems running X11 and using GTK (the Gimp !ToolKit). Gnotepad+ was designed to have as little bloat as possible, while still providing many of the common features found in a modern GUI-based text editor. It is still fairly light-weight, especially for the features it offers, and aims to remain that way. The On startup __gnp__ will create the directory ''.gnp'' within the user's home directory. The user may create the file ''gtkrc'' in that directory and put GTK-specific settings there. Four additional files, ''apprc'', ''appgtkrc'', ''recentrc'', and ''sessionrc'', are also created there. They are maintained by the program itself, so the user should never need to edit these two files. !!OPTIONS __-?__, __--help__ displays a help screen. __-v__, __--version__ displays the version and exits. __-i__, __--info__ shows the compiler options used at build stage. __-s__, __--nosplash__ disables the startup splash screen. __-l__, __--ldsession__ load opened files from previous session. !!OTHER INFORMATION GTK can be found at http://www.gtk.org. http://gnotepad.sourceforge.net is the homepage for gnotepad+. !!AUTHOR __gnotepad+__ is written by Andy Kahn __ ----
