AUTORECONF !!!AUTORECONF NAME SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION SEE ALSO AUTHORS ---- !!NAME autoreconf2.13 - update configure scripts !!SYNOPSIS __autoreconf2.13__ [[ __--help__ | __-h__ ] [[ __--force__ | __-f__ ] [[ __--localdir=dir__ | __-l dir__ ] [[ __--macrodir=dir__ | __-m dir__ ] [[ __--verbose__ ] [[ __--version__ ] !!DESCRIPTION If you have a lot of Autoconf-generated __configure__ scripts, the __autoreconf2.13__ program can save you some work. It runs __autoconf2.13__ (and __autoheader2.13__, where appropriate) repeatedly to remake the Autoconf __configure__ scripts and configuration header templates in the directory tree rooted at the current directory. By default, it only remakes those files that are older than their __configure.in__ or (if present) __aclocal.m4__. Since __autoheader2.13__ does not change the timestamp of its output file if the file wouldn't be changing, this is not necessarily the minimum amount of work. If you install a new version of Autoconf, you can make __autoreconf2.13__ remake ''all'' of the files by giving it the __--force__ option. If you give __autoreconf2.13__ the __--macrodir=DIR__ or __--localdir=DIR__ options, it passes them down to __autoconf2.13__ and __autoheader2.13__ (with relative paths adjusted properly). __autoreconf2.13__ does not support having, in the same directory tree, both directories that are parts of a larger package (sharing __aclocal.m4__ and __acconfig.h__), and directories that are independent packages (each with their own __aclocal.m4__ and __acconfig.h__). It assumes that they are all part of the same package, if you use __--localdir__, or that each directory is a separate package, if you don't use it. This restriction may be removed in the future. __autoreconf2.13__ accepts the following options: __--help__ __-h__ Print a summary of the command line options and exit. __--force__ __-f__ Remake even __configure__ scripts and configuration headers that are newer than their input files (__configure.in__ and, if present, __aclocal.m4__). __--localdir=DIR__ __-l DIR__ Look for the package file __aclocal.m4__ in directory DIR instead of in the current directory. __--macrodir=DIR__ __-m DIR__ Look for the installed macro files in directory DIR. You can also set the __AC_MACRODIR__ environment variable to a directory; this option overrides the environment variable. __--verbose__ Print the name of each directory where __autoreconf2.13__ runs __autoconf2.13__ (and __autoheader2.13__, if appropriate). __--version__ Print the version number of Autoconf and exit. !!SEE ALSO autoconf2.13(1), __autoheader2.13__(1), autoscan2.13(1), __autoupdate2.13__(1), ifnames2.13(1) !!AUTHORS David !MacKenzie, with help from Franc, ois Pinard, Karl Berry, Richard Pixley, Ian Lance Taylor, Roland !McGrath, Noah Friedman, David D.
