XMMS is the X MultiMedia Suite. Or something like that.
Its your basic media player for X. Handles mp3, cd audio, ogg and so on. Playlists, graphic equilizers, plugins, etc. Its WinAmp for X.
Some people complain about the performance of its output, some people don't care as they are listening to mp3s on shitty speakers or headphones.
