There are reasons people don't run Windows rather than Linux:

  1. It's what their employer or school has taught them and they don't want to learn another OperatingSystem
  2. Games, particularly FirstPersonShooter which often only run on windows
  3. It's what they have
  4. They need to run an application written for Windows that is not portable
