Things to do on the WanDaemon for the MetaNet:

Etud:

  1. Catch signals and cleanup nicely, bring down interfaces that are nolonger in use, rename back ethertap interfaces
  2. Proper startup/shutdown scripts

Wand:

  1. Expire old entries after a timeout
  2. Sign outgoing packets, or use SSL. (would require changing from UDP to TCP)

Wansd:

  1. Expire old entries after a timeout
  2. Validate signatures on incoming packets.

All of the above:

  1. Rename ;)
