An [Acronym] for __W__ifi __P__rotected __A__ccess A standard for encryption and authenticating to a wireless AccessPoint. Can use either RC4 or [AES] for encryption, and uses [RADIUS] or a simple password (__P__re __S__hared __K__ey) for authentication. Under Linux-based operating systems, [WPA] is handled by a separate program (<tt>wpasupplicant</tt>) rather than each individual wireless card driver.
