4 AristotlePagaltzis 3 > Vipul's Razor is a distributed, collaborative, [Spam] detection and filtering network.
4 > Through user contribution, Razor establishes a distributed and constantly updating catalogue of [Spam] in propagation that is consulted by MailClient~s to filter out known [Spam].
5 > Detection is done with statistical and randomized signatures that efficiently spot mutating [Spam] content.
6 > User input is validated through reputation assignments based on consensus on report and revoke assertions which in turn is used for computing confidence values associated with individual signatures.

4 AristotlePagaltzis 8 The database works on a human-only submission system, where if something is submitted enough, it's trusted and added to the list of messages to kill on site. It bases this on a hash of the entire message, so small deviations are enough to make a message different. As a result, __submission to Razor cannot be done by forwarding [Email]__. [Mutt] has a bounce function that can be used for submissions, but you should use the razor-provided client. (An exception to this rule are 'troll' [Email] addresses (ie spammeplease@example.com) that exist only to collect spam, and you can guarantee will never get a real message. If you have one of these you're encouraged to send the message to Razor.)

10 The best thing to do with this is plug it into SpamAssassin.

4 AristotlePagaltzis 12 Razor comes under the Artistic License. The Windows port is commercial, with a 30 day demo, so use the [Linux] version. If you're running MicrosoftWindows, there's an MicrosoftOutlook plugin called [CloudMark SpamNet|http://www.cloudmark.com/products/spamnet/] that runs on the same database.
