A [Pacsal] compiler and dialect. The original TurboPascal fit an [IDE] and very fast native code compiler into 26 kilobytes. It was the nicest programming enviroment around for CP/M computers and the early MSDOS PCs. The Pascal dialect it implemented was a expressive as [C], and safer. * TurboPascal added full file I/O, string handling, and MachinceCode inclusions to Standard Pascal. * TurboPascal 4 added [Modula2]'s modules * TurboPascal 6 added a [C++]-like ObjectOrientedProgramming system. * TurboPascal 7 improved the object orirented programming system. (I kind of lost track of TurboPascal about here.) * [Delphi] made TurboPascal into a [RAD] system for MicrosoftWindows * [Kylix] is a port of [Delphi] to [Linux].
