A Pacsal? compiler and dialect. The original TurboPascal fit an IDE and very fast native code compiler into 26 kilobytes. It was the nicest programming enviroment around for CP/M computers and the early MSDOS PCs. The Pascal dialect it implemented was a expressive as C, and safer.

• TurboPascal added full file I/O, string handling, and MachinceCode? inclusions to Standard Pascal.
• TurboPascal 4 added Modula2's modules
• TurboPascal 6 added a C++-like ObjectOrientedProgramming? system.
• TurboPascal 7 improved the object orirented programming system.
