[The Open CD|http://theopencd.sunsite.dk/] is a FreeSoftware compilation for MicrosoftWindows.

It is a smaller, but more polished collection than GnuWinII, and comes with a much better installer ([TheOpenCD] has an installer, GnuWinII has a copy of the website).

[TheOpenCD] contains precompiled binaries _and_ full source for the following programs:

[TheOpenCD] is an excellent way to gently introduce [Windows] users to the idea of FreeSoftware. Unlike the GnuWinII project, they will only include software that is easy to install under MicrosoftWindows, well developed, and highly reliable.

[TheOpenCD] 1.2 has just been released, i won't update the body of this page, but thought i should let you know.
