A little 'popup' CommandLine contained in a window that you use if you're in a GUI and don't want to drop back to the CLI.
Useful because you can have many of them on the screen at the same time.
The most basic one (that I know of) is xterm?. There are several others that do basically the same thing but add extra features (transparency, color, menu, scrollbar, etc).%%%%%%
