A very sexy machine with a MIPS RISC chip. Often blue or purple in color, they were hipper than the IMac when people would have confused an IMac for Emacs.
Some people own these, and some people also own AlphaStations. Why do these people bother? Sure, it's nice to learn another architecture, but if you're only going to use Debian on it... sigh. Get an old PC - they aren't as sexy but they're infinitely more useful!
