SawFish is an extensible WindowManager using a Lisp-based scripting language --all window decorations are configurable and all user-interface policy is controlled through the extension language. This is no layer on top of twm, but a wholly new architecture.

This was the default WindowManager for GNOME untill the 2.2 release.

Origianlly called Sawmill, the name was changed to SawFish because another company registered Sawmill.
