A DataBase by itself is very little use without the supporting infrastructure of management tools, converters, a shell, etc. The combination of a RelationalDataBase along with all the tools required to operate it is called an [RDBMS]. Examples include [Oracle], [MySQL], [PostgreSQL], [Microsoft] SQL Server, Informix, [Borland] Interbase, ~FireBird and [IBM] [DB2]. |
