The main site, 
http://gutenberg.net, is hosted in America, and therefore is subject to all of the corporate bullshit (coughcensorshipcough) of Big Friendly. The Australian Project Gutenberg, therefore, hosts a lot of the Ebooks that their American peers cannot.
