A typesetting language originally used to send documents to laser printers. It is now a popular format for distributing books and typeset documents over the Internet. Files with *.ps extension are Postscript documents. Use the programs ghostview or KGhostView to view these if you don't have a laser printer. These use the Postscript interpreter Ghostscript, a.k.a. gs(1), to do their formatting.

See PostScript for most info.
