Palladium is the old name for the security and DigitalRightsManagement system advocated by MicrosoftCorporation. They deny the latter part of this though.
The new name is an unpronouncable, unmemorable Acronym?: NGSCB for Next Generation Secure Computing Base (pronounced eng-scub).
