I think of [IOS] when I read that, and [Cisco] writes [IOS], not [Oracle]. Their most notable software product is their [RDBMS], aptly named [Oracle] DataBase. DavidHallett has considerable experience getting this DataBase working with [Linux], notably the [RedHat] distribution - ask him about the pitfalls if you are game enough to try installing it!
