This allows you to take network or wireless card with [Windows]-only drivers and have it work fairly cleanly under [Linux]. I believe NdisWrapper is based on FreeBSD's Project Evil. |

One thing I have found with NdisWrapper is that for Broadcom support I have not had success getting it working on versions greater than 0.12. The mailing list discussions bear this out as well with lots of problems with releases >1.0 -- IanMcDonald (Not sure if this still applies as I wrote this over a year ago. I would guess probably not) |
