NZNOG hold an annual conference, two of which have been held at WaikatoUniversity, run by the WandGroup. Info on the conferences can be found at the nznog website http://www.nznog.org.
The conferences are a great excuse for the tech people to get managment to pay for them to all get together and drink plenty of beer in-between making lot of new contacts.
At the NZNOG'05 conference, a NewZealandInternetHistory draft was started.
