 a [MUA] sends email via a [MSA] to a [MTA], which passes it along to other [MTA]'s until it reaches it's final destination, where it is passed to a [MDA] to deliver it to the users [MUA]. All very simple right? :) [POP3]/[IMAP] confuse this, since a [MDA] delivers to [POP3]/[IMAP], which then end up going to the [MUA] sometimes via another [MTA] or [MDA]. Anyone know what the acronym for a popper/imap daemon would be?
