LibreOffice is a cross-platform OfficeSuite, commonly found in LinuxDistribution~s. A fork of [OpenOffice.org], from when [Oracle] (who bought it along with SunMicrosystems) seemed unlikely to do anything useful with it. ~LibreOffice is licensed under the [LGPL] v3 and does not require copyright contribution. Maintained by a group called The Document Foundation. |

Oracle later donated the [OpenOffice.org] code to the ApacheSoftwareFoundation, who are maintaining their own version under the original name, but under the Apache License. |
