A bit of kit that is used to implement an L2TP network. Typically it sits inside a Telco and takes all the sessions from a DSLAM, deals with authentication, sorts out which ISP they are associated with (usually using the @realm part of the login) and forwards the data towards the correct ISP inside an L2TP tunnel. |
