Knoppix is quite a fascinating Linux Distribution. It's a single bootable CD, with 1.8g of compressed data on it. The entire distribution runs soley off the cdrom, not touching your harddisk at all. The CD also includes some of the best automatic hardware detection I've seen which gets everything running in [KDE] immediately. A perfect demo disk, and rescue CD. the CD contains [KDE] (and [GNOME]?), heaps of software, (OpenOffice.org,Mozilla,etc) I highly recommend you download and try a copy, you'll be surprised.
