-[The Kiaora CD|http://kiaoracd.org.nz/] is [ BruceKingsbury] 's own CD of Free Software for Windows , similar to [TheOpenCD] or [GnuWinII] , since neither of these two CD 's contained exactly the software I usually want to install
+KiaoraCD started out as BruceKingsbury's own version of The Open CD , because The Open CD did not include many of the programs I wanted it to have. I was not the only one to be frustrated , Chris Gray was frustrated by Canonical 's policies which wouldn't let him include many popular programs, so he quit the open cd project and started OpenDisc, which is more or less exactly what I wanted KiaoraCD to be . Thus I am no longer maintaining the KiaoraCD

-Version . .0 was a mess, version ..1 was marginally better, ..3 was almost OK. Version ..5 included Vidomi which is not completely free..! ([GnuWinII] appear to have made the same mistake.)

-[Kiaora 008 |http://kiaoracd.org.nz/ ] was released on Sep 9 2006.

-I did have a mailing list but after 6 months nobody had signed up.

-* The CD is _still_ web -page based , but then so are most cover CD's so I've decided this is not such a bad thing. I really do want a proper CD browser eventually.
-* Finally figured out how to repackage OOo so that it installs itself using a 7zip SFX archive, but as of OOo2 this hack is no longer necessary.
-* BrianKemp has repackaged [TuxRacer|http://tuxracer.sourceforge.net/] and [Really Slick Screensavers|http://www .reallyslick.com/] for me using the [Spoon Installer|http://sourceforge.net/projects/spoon-installer/]
-* I would really like to do a kiwi version of the TuxPaint stamps but it's a lot of work. Perhaps someone else at WLUG could look into this. We must keep ahead of [The Australians|http://sourceforge.net/projects/tuxpaint-au/]. One of the things that most put me off was an IntellectualProperty issue.. I'm not sure that I'm allowed to take a photo of Buzzy Bee and release it under a CreativeCommons Licence, since the Buzzy Bee likeness is a trademark . I should have bought this up at the IP meeting :(
+The [kiaoracd .org .nz |http://kiaoracd.org.nz] domain has been redesigned as a download-and -burn service , to be run by Destiny and CairoKingsbury . Hopefully they can make lots of money from it and start saving for University
